Blason de l’Evangile 2024 – Pomerol

Blason de l’Evangile 2024 – Pomerol

The nose is beautifully fruity, silky, with a certain creamy in elegance and finesse. It reveals notes of brilliant boysenberry, small creamy blue fruits associated with touches of strawberry, as well as hints of violet, aniseed licorice, fine hints of lily and tobacco. The palate is well-built, suave, fresh, airy, nicely defined, offering a tangy frame, gourmandise, a lovely fresh creaminess, juiciness and precision. It expresses notes of creamy/juicy cassis, pulpy blueberry and, more lightly, creamy raspberry, as well as hints of cornflower combined with touches of fresh/juicy cherry and fine hints of chocolate/tonka bean. The tannins are precise, finely firm and sapid. Nicely fresh and juicy. Freshness, energy and airy in freshness. A hint of toasted almond on the finish/persistence. Chewy. A silky, delicate wine with a certain elegant fluidity. A subtle hint of peony on the nose.
