CHÂTEAU SAINT-GEORGE COTE PAVIE 2024 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is nicely aromatic, spicy, deep and offers a lovely straight, precise grain. It reveals notes of nutmeg, Timut pepper, and small notes of wild blackberry, associated with touches of small juicy/pulpy black fruits, as well as a hint of lilac, a subtle hint of sense of the place/almost flowers of thyme and bergamot. The palate is well-built, fruity, fresh and racy. It offers precision, tension, suppleness and gourmandise. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/brilliant cassis, cherry and small notes of bright violet plum, combined with touches of bright blueberry, as well as hints of chocolate, toasted hazelnut, thyme blossom, infusion, as well as a subtle touch of bourbon vanilla. Good length and definition. The tannins are sapid, mellow and gourmand. A wine offering lovely chewiness and mellowness of tannins.
