Château Pavie 2024 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is well-built and offers energy. It reveals notes of cornflower, star anise, wild blackberry and small notes of small wild red berries, associated with touches of bergamot, roasted red cherry, saffron in its floral side, as well as a hint of violet plum, tobacco, cardamom and an imperceptible hint of almost red pepper. The palate is well-built, supple, gourmand, fresh, it offers juiciness, brightness, brilliance and a certain aromatic concentration of fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of dense wild cassis, small juicy-roasted red fruits and small notes of cornflower, combined with touches of blue plum, a hint of small elegant-roasted red berries, as well as hints of bergamot, lilac, almost aromatic herbs and a subtle note of blood orange, sweet spices, tonka bean and roasting. A wine offering freshness and silkiness. The tannins are sapid, mellow and suave. Roundness, finesse in its fat and pulpiness. A hint of coffee in the background.
