Château La Commanderie – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

Château La Commanderie – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, fresh and offers a certain incisive side, energy and aromatic depth. It reveals notes of violet, blackberry and small notes of fairly ripe strawberry, associated with touches of cornflower, blue plum, as well as fine hints of licorice, peony and sweet spices. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, it offers a fresh frame, suppleness, roundness and a nice fatness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, brilliant blackberry and small notes of brilliant blue plum, combined with touches of crushed cherry, as well as hints of violet, lily, chocolate, sweet blond tobacco and a subtle hint of bourbon vanilla in the background. Nice woodwork, which underlines and adds depth without weighing it down. A little chewiness on the finish/persistence.
