Château Croix Cardinale – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, silky, frank, fresh and offers a lovely energy. There are notes of small juicy/fresh black fruits, fresh/bright black cherry and small notes of cornflower, associated with touches of small red berries (flirting with the roast-fresh side), as well as fine hints of licorice stick. The palate is well-built, elegant, racy, velvety, delicate, fresh and offers great energy, harmony, dynamism, good definition and precision. Airy and delicate. A certain fleshiness and depth of fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackberry, juicy/fresh cassis and small notes of red cherry, combined with touches of blue plum, pretty hints of racy minerality, as well as a hint of graphene, fine hints of chocolate, toast, toasted hazelnut, a discreet hint of salt, bergamot and Bourbon vanilla. A subtle hint of almost cornflower and blood orange on the persistence. Beautifully tangy finish.
