Monteverro – Verruzzo 2022 – Maremma Toscana

The nose is fruity and relatively aromatic. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of violet, blackberry, ripe wild berries and small notes of balsamic associated with fine touches of star anise as well as discreet hints of black pepper, Madagascar pepper and black olive. The palate is beautifully built, fresh, supple and offers elegance, richness as well as a beautiful freshness in deepness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of concentrated black berries, wild cassis and small notes of wild blackberry associated with touches of violet, black tea, black olive as well as fine hints of balsamic, camphor and a discreet hint of local grove. Tannins are gourmand and sapid.
