Rocca delle Macie – Roccato 2022 – Toscana Cabernet Sauvignon IGT

The nose is spicy and offers a certain power and depth. It reveals notes of concentrated blackberry and black pepper associated with touches of small wild black fruits, as well as hints of cornflower, star anise, cinnamon, black olive and a discreet hint of balsamic. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, minerality and a good tension. It offers a floral, silky and concentrated side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/brilliant cherry, small roasted-elegant fruits associated with touches of cherry pit, small fresh fruits, tobacco, as well as a hint of nutmeg, cardamom, a discreet hint of roasted almond, roasting and local grove. Good length. Well-built tannins and offers a certain mellowness on the finish.
