The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The initial nose expresses smoky, toasted and spicy notes (toasted wood, coffee, cocoa, tangy dark chocolate, even cocoa nibs, liquorice, vanilla, tonka bean, a hint of nutmeg). Then we find a ripe and juicy fruits (morello cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, red cherry), as well as a touch of wild mint, rose and peony, associated with a hint of limestone and balsamic. Complexity. The palate is lively, tangy with a tight, tangy and slightly bitter attack. It expresses notes of cranberries, tangy red cherry, raspberry and blueberry, associated with a hint of wild mint, spices (liquorice, cardamom, a hint of tonka bean), herbs and flowers (blackcurrant leaf, peony, rose) and a toasted touch of wood, hazelnut and coffee, which appears especially on the persistence. The finish is lively, tight, and tangy, with notes of cranberries, rosemary and bergamot, as well as fine but firm tannins. Good, solid structure.
