(organic) The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers concentration and toasted and spicy notes (toasted almond, liquorice, toasted oak, coffee, toasted vanilla, cumin) at the opening, accompanied by light tertiary touches (tobacco, dried fallen leaves, dried rose). There are also fruity notes (fresh red cherry, dried red cherry, dried cranberries, blackcurrant) and herbaceous notes (roasted bouquet garni, dried mint). The palate is open, juicy and gourmand, with a fruity, even slightly sweet attack (ripe morello cherry, chocolate red cherry, blackberry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry and roasted raspberry). Then there are notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, liquorice and cinnamon, combined with a floral bouquet (slightly sweet peony scent, tertiary touch of dried rose), a roasted side (coffee, toasted hazelnut) and a very subtle tertiary touch of dry fallen leaves. The tannins are soft, with a good firm and slightly grippy structure, but a fine grain, balanced by a salivating acidity. The finish is sapid, chocolatey and quite persistent.
