The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers density, a certain complexity and airiness. It expresses notes of dried aromatic herbs (dried bouquet garni, peppermint), a fine floral bouquet (wild rose, violet), as well as spicy and toasted aromas (roasted coriander seeds, a hint of liquorice, grated nutmeg and white pepper, toasted hazelnut and cocoa), envelopped in a juicy fruity substance (red cherry, raspberry, tangy strawberry, cranberries). The palate offers a savory, fruity and chocolatey attack: it expresses flavors of dried red cherry, crushed morello cherry, raspberry and blackberry in the background), as well as dark chocolate and a toasted touch (toasted hazelnut, roasted coffee). There are also notes of liquorice, vanilla, nutmeg, and cumin, combined with touches of bouquet garni, dried mint, and a floral hint of violet. The tannins are fine, yet structured and slightly grippy. The finish is savory and persistent, with toasted and bitter notes of coffee, bergamot, and bird cherry. Beautiful, mouth-watering acidity balances the wine’s profile.
