The wine has a pale ruby color, with slight garnet reflections. On the nose, it is initially reserved and requires aeration. It then opens with the tertiary notes of fallen leaves, undergrowth, wilted rose and dried tobacco, combined with notes of sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg, cardamom box), bitter cocoa, as well as dried mint and fresh and dried fruits (morello cherry, strawberry, red cherry jam, crushed raspberry), as well as fresh flowers (violet, lily) and roasting in the background (toasted almond, toasted wood). The palate offers complexity and expresses on the attack the tertiary notes that reflect the aromas (tobacco, wet leaves, a hint of undergrowth and dried rose), complemented by a smoky touch, a spicy side (licorice, nutmeg, white pepper) and a tangy hint of cocoa nibs. There are also ripe fruits (morello cherry, red cherry), macerated and crushed (macerated morello cherry, crushed raspberry, crushed plum), as well as crushed wild mint leaves. The tannins are fine, but quite solid, balanced by a salivating acidity. The finish is sapid and expresses dominant, but integrated tertiary notes (undergrowth, a hint of mushrooms).
