(organic) The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is airy, but reserved at first. After aeration, it expresses aromas of tangy fresh fruits (red cherry, cranberries, blueberry, raspberry, morello cherry, blackberry), as well as a fresh herbaceous and floral notes (wild mint, blackcurrant leaf and fresh tea in the background, wild rose, a hint of lily and violet). Then we find spices (liquorice, cardamom, tonka bean, a hint of vanilla) and roasting (coffee, a touch of mint chocolate), as well as blood orange. The palate is tangy, lively and fresh. The attack offers notes of red cherry, cranberries, raspberry, blueberry and a fine citrus hint (blood orange), as well as fresh flowers (lily, wild rose). Then there are notes of licorice, nutmeg, crushed cardamom, and chocolate, combined with hints of brewed black tea, wild mint, and fresh tobacco. The tannins are fine, slightly grippy, but savory and gourmand. The finish offers a mouthwatering acidity, a good bitterness, and tanginess of bergamot, as well as a very light tertiary note of dried rose.
