(organic) The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic, gourmand, complex and concentrated. On opening, it offers juicy fruity notes (fresh red cherry, morello cherry, roasted strawberry, roasted raspberry, wild blackberry and crushed red plum), as well as a touch of macerated cherry. There is also a savory and peppery spiciness (nutmeg, black pepper, liquorice, crushed cardamom, tonka bean in the background), as well as aromatic herbs (thyme, fresh rosemary, crushed mint), roasted (toasted wood, coffee, mint chocolate) and fragrant flowers (lilac, peony, rose). The palate has a fruity and juicy attack (morello cherry, crushed strawberry, crushed raspberry, a hint of cranberries, blueberry and roasted red plum). It also expresses notes of tobacco, brewed black tea, crushed mint, liquorice, nutmeg, and white pepper, as well as faded rose, lilac, coffee, and mint chocolate. The tannins are supple and enveloping. Good length with a bitter touch of kirsch and macerated morello cherry.
