(organic) The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers tension, precision and a tangy fruitiness. It expresses notes of red cherry, crisp strawberry, red currant, raspberry, as well as crushed blackcurrant and crushed red plum. There are also herbal and floral notes (crushed wild mint, a hint of fresh tobacco, brewed black tea, lily and wild rose in the background), combined with a spicy and toasty side (liquorice, a touch of vanilla, cardamom, dark chocolate, toasted hazelnut), as well as a tangy and smoky hint of bergamot in the background. The palate is precise, with a fruity, tangy and slightly bitter attack. Initially, we find flavors of raspberry, cranberry, red cherry, blueberry and morello cherry, which are then complemented by notes of vanilla, licorice, nutmeg, cardamom, tonka bean in the background, as well as toasted hazelnut and cocoa nibs. On the persistence, we also find herbal touches of black tea, fresh tobacco, as well as a sappy and floral hint (wild rose, violet in the background), as well as toasted wood. Good persistence on the palate, the tannins are quite firm, slightly bitter, but with a fine texture. Nice refreshing acidity.
