The wine has a bright ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is roasted, meaty and smoky at the opening. It initially expresses notes of roasted meat (even smoked meat in the background), roasted bouquet garni and roasted cherry, combined with roasted notes (toasted hazelnut, coffee, heated wood, a gourmand hint of chocolate). Then there are notes of dried wild mint, a sappy hint of fresh pine needles, as well as fresh tobacco, rose and violet, combined with a fine spiciness (grated nutmeg, licorice, vanilla). The fruity and fresh and juicy substance in the notes of morello cherry, ripe strawberry, red cherry, crushed raspberry and blueberry jam. The palate is juicy and fresh, with a tangy fruitiness of red cherry, red currant, raspberry and morello cherry. There is also a delicate spicy side (licorice, nutmeg, cumin, a hint of star anise), as well as a herbaceous touch of bergamot tea, blackcurrant leaf, and a fragrant floral touch (peony, lily). The finish expresses roasted notes (coffee, toasted almond, cocoa nibs), as well as a hint of tobacco and a mineral touch. Beautiful salivating acidity, the tannins are fine, soft and cocoa-flavored. Good length on the tangy notes of cranberries and red cherry.
