Ricasoli, Brolio 2022 – Chianti Classico Riserva

The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color. The nose offers juicy fruit (crushed red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, a hint of red currant), combined with an airy floral touch (peony, violet in the background), delicate roasted notes (toasted hazelnut, fresh wood, toasted wood in the background, dark chocolate) and sweet spices (vanilla, a hint of cinnamon, liquorice, star anise). The palate offers freshness, a tangy and slightly bitter frame of cranberries and grapefruit, combined with notes of red cherry, raspberry and red currant, as well as fresh wood, toasted hazelnut, liquorice, star anise and vanilla. The tannins are fine, well-made, with solidity and good structure. The finish is persistent, with lively acidity and a touch of good bitterness.
