Lecci e Brocchi, Il Chiorba 2019 – Chianti Classico Riserva

(organic) The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers concentration, enveloped tertiary notes (wet leaves, tobacco), as well as a roasted touch (roasted meat, roasted bouquet garni), combined with notes of roasted red cherry, crushed morello cherry, crushed blueberry and blackcurrant. There are also hints of dried almond, liquorice, nutmeg and crushed wild mint. The palate is enveloping, juicy and quite fresh. It expresses notes of cranberries, bird cherry, red cherry and bergamot tea, combined with spicy flavors (liquorice, white pepper), herbaceous (dried mint, tobacco, roasted bouquet garni), fallen leaves, as well as dried almond and cocoa in the background. The tannins are well defined, powdery. The finish is juicy, fruity, cocoa and smoky, quite persistent. A firm wine, but with substance.
