The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is precise, fresh and tangy. It expresses notes of red cherry, cranberry, crushed blueberry and raspberry, combined with herbal aromas (rose leaf, a touch of bouquet garni and bergamot tea), as well as a fine floral bouquet (peony, lilac, a touch of rose), as well as cocoa and toasted hazelnut in the background, combined with a hint of liquorice and cumin. The palate has a tight, tangy attack, with a bitterness of cranberry and grapefruit. We then find flavors of cranberry, tart red cherry, raspberry and bird cherry in the background, combined with notes of cocoa, a hint of coffee, liquorice, dried aromatic herbs and flowers (dried rose, peony, a hint of cornflower). The tannins are tight, structured, a little dry on the attack, but more enveloping in the mid-palate. The finish offers a delicious toasted touch, a good bitterness of coffee and cocoa, as well as a salivating acidity and freshness. Good persistence in the mouth.
