Fattoria La Ripa 2020 – Chianti Classico Riserva

(organic) The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is closed and requires aeration. It then expresses notes of juicy fresh fruit (red cherry, crushed raspberry, blueberry, wild blackberry, blackcurrant), combined with a sappy touch of pine needles, fresh wood in the background, as well as liquorice, fresh bay leaf, rosemary and dried thyme. The palate is airy, tangy, with a tannic and tight, even drying, attack. It then expresses flavors of cranberries, tart red cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant and crushed blueberry, combined with notes of liquorice, thyme, blackcurrant leaf and cocoa on the persistence. The finish is medium-long, tangy and slightly toasted and bitter (grapefruit).
