Querciabella 2021 – Chianti Classico Riserva

Querciabella 2021 – Chianti Classico Riserva

(organic) The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color. The nose is fruity, juicy, and gourmand. It expresses notes of tangy red cherry, morello cherry, crushed red plum, raspberry, blackcurrant, and crisp strawberry, combined with sweet spices (cardamom, vanilla, liquorice), dark chocolate, toasted almond, coffee, and toasted wood, as well as dried basil, wild mint, voilette, and pine sap. The palate is straight, tangy, and chiseled. The attack expresses the acidity of cranberries, red cherry, blackcurrant and raspberry, in the mid-palate, we find notes of morello cherry and strawberry, associated with touches of fresh mint, bergamot tea, rosemary, dried basil, as well as a toast and spices (cocoa nibs, toasted almond, black pepper, cardamom, vanilla, liquorice, dark chocolate). The acidity is lively and salivating. The tannins are structured, tight, but not drying. The finish is chiseled, on citrus fruits and a good bitterness of coffee and bergamot and the juiciness of red fruits.
