The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers tension, tangy fresh fruits (blackcurrant, red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, morello cherry), as well as a roasted, toasted and spicy, savory hint in the aromas of nutmeg, liquorice, even star anise, tonka bean, roasted bouquet garni, coffee, toasted almond, as well as sap and dried bergamot, combined with violet and dried rose in the background. The palate is juicy and fresh, with a good bitterness of cranberries and bergamot on the attack. It then expresses notes of red cherry, raspberry, strawberry and red currant, complemented by a herbaceous touch of bouquet garni, dried mint, rose in the background, as well as liquorice, cardamom, chocolate, coffee and toast. The finish is tangy, persistent, with tertiary touches of undergrowth and dried rose.
