Bersano Mantico 2021 – Barbaresco

Bersano Mantico 2021 – Barbaresco

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers concentrated and gourmand fruit, with a touch of roasted berries. It expresses notes of fresh red cherry, roasted red cherry, morello cherry, crushed raspberry, and wild strawberry. After aeration, it expresses notes of smoke, toasted wood, and toasted hazelnut, as well as liquorice, nutmeg, and cardamom tin, and a delicate floral bouquet (violet, rose petals) and a herbaceous touch (black tea in the background, wild mint). The palate is refined and well-constructed, with polished and velvety tannins. The attack offers a good bitterness of cranberries and grapefruit zest, which is then complemented by notes of red cherry, morello cherry, raspberry, and red currant. The mid-palate is fresh and gourmand, with a clean red cherry flavor, underlined by sweet spices (licorice, nutmeg, white pepper in the background), roasting (toasted almond, coffee, toasted wood in the background) and herbs (dried thyme, dried mint). Good length, delicacy and refined indulgence, a beautiful salivating acidity.
