Poderi Ruggeri Corsini Barolo Bricco San Pietro 2021 – Barolo

Poderi Ruggeri Corsini Barolo Bricco San Pietro 2021 – Barolo

The wine has a pale ruby color with very slight garnet reflections. The first nose expresses typical pronounced notes of faded rose and tar, wrapped in a tangy and fresh fruits. We find the aromas of bigarreau cherry, ripe cranberries, blackcurrant, crushed raspberry, as well as fresh strawberry and redcurrant jelly. After aeration, we also feel herbaceous touches of fresh mint, blackcurrant leaf, fresh peony and cherry blossom, associated with a delicate spicy (liquorice, white pepper) and toasted (coffee, toasted almond) side, as well as a touch of limestone in the background. On the palate, the attack is precise and tangy: it expresses the notes of red cherry, raspberry, a hint of fresh cherry with a good bitterness, as well as tangy blackcurrant. The mid-palate also expresses bitter notes of coffee and almond, complemented by spicy touches of liquorice and white pepper. On the persistence, we find limestone, faded rose and tar. Good length, lively acidity and fine, powdery and firm tannins – this wine can still wait before being opened.
