The wine has a pale ruby color with very slight garnet reflections. The nose is reserved and requires aeration. Then, it expresses notes of dried cherry and raspberry, which are then complemented by juicy fresh fruits (red cherry, raspberry, cranberries, morello cherry, blueberry). After aeration, we also find notes of fresh flowers (rose, peony, violet), faded rose, a hint of tobacco, as well as fine spicy and roasted nuances (liquorice, nutmeg, coffee, toasted hazelnut, a hint of dark chocolate). A delicate herbaceous note of rose leaves and mint concludes the aromatics. On the palate, the wine first presents notes of tangy fresh fruits (red cherry, cranberries, fresh cherry with a slight bitterness, tangy raspberry), associated with herbaceous notes (blackcurrant leaf, mint in the background). On the mid-palate, we find notes of faded rose and fresh rose, as well as a hint of limestone mineral and fresh wood in the background. Tannins have a fine grain and a firm, dry structure, balanced by a salivating acidity. The finish is persistent and sapid: it completes the flavors with notes of roasting (coffee, toasted almond) and a hint of chocolate. The wine needs time to open up.
