Poderi Luigi Einaudi, Terlo 2021 – Barolo

Poderi Luigi Einaudi, Terlo 2021 – Barolo

The wine has a pale ruby color. The first nose offers a concentration of freshness and a distinct floral and herbaceous side (dried rose, wilted flowers, a touch of fresh wildflowers, hay). The second nose expresses the aromas of dense black berries (blackcurrant, morello cherry, fresh cherry), as well as a sweet touch of red chocolate cherry and fresh peony, combined with a toasted hint (toasted hazelnut with chocolate, sweet coffee) and spiciness (crushed cardamom, pepper berries). The palate is juicy, gourmand and fruity on the attack. It expresses the flavors of crushed morello cherry, red chocolate cherry, ripe raspberry, wild strawberry, as well as toasted hazelnut with chocolate, peony, dried rose, coffee and toasted vanilla in the background. Tannins are gourmand, sapid and cocoa-like, with a fine grain and a pleasant suppleness (while maintaining their solid structure). The finish is persistent, with a good bitterness of grapefruit and fresh cherry, as well as a hint of dark chocolate. Beautiful fresh and salivating acidity.
