460 Casina Bric Barolo Serradenari 2021 – Barolo

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is juicy, fragrant and fruity, with a pleasant gourmet texture. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, crushed raspberry (even raspberry coulis), ripe morello cherry and cherry jam, combined with a lively acidulous frame. After aeration, the wine expresses aromas of mint chocolate, chocolate morello cherry, as well as a precise but subtle herbaceous and tertiary hints (wet leaves, dried mint, dried tobacco), tasty notes of nutmeg, white pepper and liquorice. There is also a mineral touch (dry stone, earthy) and roasting (coffee, toasted almond). The palate is straight, chiseled, with lively acidity and a good bitterness of fruit (fresh cherry, cranberries, even bergamot) and roasting (coffee, toasted bitter almond). It also expresses flavors of fresh fruit (red cherry, fresh strawberry, raspberry, a hint of red currants) and faded rose. Tannins have a fine grain, but a firm and slightly grippy structure. Good persistence in the mouth, tight, but juicy.
