Vinory, Barolo Bussia 2020 – Barolo

Vinory, Barolo Bussia 2020 – Barolo

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is savory, roasted, toasted, and spicy at the opening, expressing notes of roasted red cherry, redcurrant jelly, crushed coriander seeds, nutmeg, cumin, toasted wood, and toasted hazelnut. After aeration, notes of wild strawberry, blackcurrant, crushed blueberry, wild raspberry, as well as dried wild mint, licorice, lilac, and rose petals, along with a touch of tangy cocoa nibs, emerge. The palate is gourmand and savory, with a distinct smoky and chocolatey note at the attack, enveloped in juicy, ripe fruits (red cherry, morello cherry, wild raspberry, blackberry, wild strawberry). The mid-palate reveals the sweetness of wild mint, peony, as well as hints of rose petals, toasted hazelnut, sweet coffee, and bitter chocolate. Tannins are very fine, velvety and powdery, but quite firm. The finish is persistent, fruity, fresh and juicy, with notes of red cherry and raspberry, as well as a hint of bergamot on the persistence.
