The wine has a pale ruby color with garnet highlights. The nose is perfumed and offers complexity and a certain density. It initially expresses the distinct tertiary notes (undergrowth, damp leaves, mushrooms), dried rose and wilted flowers. After aeration, we find fruitiness– aromas of crushed strawberry, roasted red cherry, roasted raspberry and crushed blueberry, combined with sweet spices (dried liquorice, nutmeg, gray pepper), a mineral hint of tar, violet, as well as a delicate touch of toasted hazelnut in the background. The palate is savory and expressive. The attack reflects the first nose with tertiary notes of damp leaves, undergrowth, tobacco and wilted flowers. Then, it expresses the flavors of crushed strawberry, roasted cherry, roasted raspberry, and dried cherry, associated with notes of faded rose, dried herbs, tasty spices (licorice, cumin, nutmeg), as well as a very light touch of tar and toasted hazelnut, which appears on the persistence. The tannins are velvety, enveloping, with a very fine texture, but structured. The finish is long and sapid, on the well-integrated tertiary notes (dried leaves, dried red cherry). An evolved and perfumed wine.
