Cantine Garrone Prünent 2022 – Valli Ossolane Nebbiolo Superiore

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is gourmand and fruity, slightly roasted. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, crushed wild strawberry, red cherry jam and crushed raspberry, associated with a hint of macerated cherry, wilted peony and iris (together reminiscent of the potpourri note). After aeration, we also find notes of crushed mint, a touch of toasted-smoked, as well as a delicate mineral touch. The palate is a little reserved on the attack, but becomes juicier and fruitier as the tasting progresses. It expresses notes of crushed wild strawberry, red cherry jam and crushed raspberry, macerated cherry, a hint of crushed red plum and wilted peony, associated with a touch of toast and a good bitterness of coffee and bird cherry on the persistence. The tannins are fine, balanced, slightly grippy, but enveloped in a juicy fruitiness. The finish is tangy and salivating, with a touch of macerated cherry and a good bitterness.
