The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is warm and ripe, even slightly roasted. It expresses notes of roasted cherry, crushed strawberry, raspberry coulis, as well as roasted black plum and morello cherry. Then, we find savory aromas of roasted bouquet garni, roasted meat, dried bay leaf, sweet spices (nutmeg, white pepper, liquorice) and roasting (toasted wood, toasted almond, a hint of coffee). The palate is silky, with delicate, powdery and enveloping tannins. On the attack we find the good bitterness of bird cherry, associated with notes of grapefruit peel. Then, the wine expresses the flavors of fresh fruit (not roasted, as on the nose) tart cherry, morello cherry and cranberries, associated with touches of liquorice, nutmeg, black pepper, toasted wood and coffee, as well as hay. The acidity is pleasant and refreshing. The finish is airy and delicate, but quite fragrant and tasty, with toasted and spicy notes. A fleshy wine, while remaining fresh and harmonious.
