The wine has a pale garnet color. The nose expresses the distinct tertiary notes (undergrowth, dried rose, dried tobacco, fallen leaves, faded peony), which are then complemented by notes of crushed morello cherry, dried red cherry, dried raspberry and crushed blackcurrant. We then find a delicate touch of roasting (coffee, dark chocolate, toasted almond), as well as a hint of nutmeg, cardamom box, mint chocolate, black tea and hay. The palate is ample, but airy. On the attack, it expresses the notes of ripe fruit (morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, wild blackberry), a hint of dried raspberry and dried blackcurrant, as well as the tertiary character, which we have on the nose (undergrowth, dried tobacco, dried rose, faded peony). There are also notes of liquorice, cardamom, coffee and tangy chocolate in the background, combined with a mineral (a hint of limestone) and floral (fresh cornflower) touch. The finish is tangy, salivating, with a good bitterness and a fruity touch of cranberries and a warm hint of dark chocolate. The tannins are still firm, slightly grippy.
