Poderi Luigi Einaudi Bric Micca 2022 – Barbaresco

The wine has a pale ruby color, with very light garnet reflections. The nose is captivating, gourmand and fleshy, with juicy, even sweet and slightly roasted fruit. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, ripe morello cherry, crushed wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, blackberry, as well as roasted notes (toasted hazelnut, dark chocolate, coffee, toasted wood), sweet spices (liquorice, tonka bean, a hint of vanilla and cinnamon in the background). Aeration also reveals a touch of rose and wild mint. The palate offers a pleasant bitterness of cocoa and dark chocolate on the attack, as well as fine, powdery, but solid tannins. The fruits are ripe, juicy and fresh, with a less pronounced roasted touch. We find in particular the flavors of morello cherry, a slight hint of roasted red cherry, raspberry coulis, wild strawberry and wild blackberry, combined with notes of coffee, chocolate morello cherry, liquorice, tonka bean, cardamom and nutmeg, complemented by touches of wild mint and fresh rose on the persistence. Good length, with a salivating acidity and notes of fresh and roasted red cherry. Beautiful structure and gourmandise.
