Petrolo – Bòggina C vigna Bòggina 2021 – Valdarno di Sopra DOC Sangiovese Riserva

The nose is brilliant, concentrated and offers a certain elegant darkness that would benefit from decanting, offering a lovely infusion side. It reveals notes of chocolate, sage and small roasted-elegant red fruits, associated with touches of crushed blackberry, as well as hints of black olive, toasted aromatic herbs, and a discreet hint of crushed black plum and offers a subtle saline hint. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, tension, precision and a tangy frame. It also offers lovely energy, precision and balanced concentration, even light/airy and offers a silky texture. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy cassis, roasted-elegant cherry and small notes of small brilliant blue fruits, associated with touches of blackberry, black olive and star anise, as well as a hint of elegant roasting, tapenade and mocha. Racy, finely mellow tannins. Good length.
