The nose is pretty, intense and precise and offers a lovely power and precision. It offers a lovely spicy side that brings relief, as well as a side of racy/sense of the place. It reveals notes of small, ripe, wild red berries, associated with touches of pink pepper, fine hints of cassis and a hint of small brilliant fruits, even slightly roasted. We also perceive discreet hints of black olive, laurel berries and an imperceptible hint of dry pine needle. The palate is well-built, delicate and offers roundness, fatness, a certain fullness and a lovely, light definition on the palate. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crushed cassis, small brilliant red berries, and small notes of small crushed fruits, associated with touches of chocolate, vanilla, black olive, as well as hints of sweet blond tobacco, saltiness, pine needle, sage, and a discreet hint of balsamic. A hint of mocha on the finish. Elegant, velvety tannins. Good persistance in mouth with a subtle hint of roasting.
