Rolland Galarreta Iconic 2018 – Rioja Alavesa

The nose is aromatic, with a beautiful freshness and juicy fresh fruits (red cherry, raspberry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry), associated with the sweetness of blackcurrant liquor and bramble liquor, morello cherry in chocolate, dark chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, with a fine tertiary hint (fresh tobacco, undergrowth and mushroom in the background), a good bitterness of coffee and toast as well as smoke and toast on the persistence. The palate is gourmand and fruity, on fresh fruits (red cherry, raspberry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry) with a slight sweetness of blackcurrant liquor and bramble liquor, a touch of chocolate (morello cherry in chocolate, dark chocolate), spiciness (cinnamon, vanilla) and herbaceous (dried herbs – bay leaf and mint). Nice salivating acidity, juiciness, the tannins are structured and powerful, but velvety and integrated, beautiful structure, refined power.
