Philippe Raimbault, Les Godons 2023 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is reserved at first, but after aeration, it expresses gourmet notes of crisp yellow apple, ripe yellow lemon, orange zest, green apple, gooseberries and passion fruit, combined with a chalky and floral hint (acacia, linden infusion, apple blossoms). The palate is juicy, gourmet and enveloping, while remaining tangy and fresh. The attack offers notes of pineapple, passion fruit, crushed yellow lemon, gooseberries, grapefruit and pomelo. Then there are notes of limestone, dried wildflowers, apple blossoms, acacia, hay and quince. The finish combines fruity roundness, a chalky and mineral texture, slightly drying, as well as a lively salivating acidity and a good bitterness of grapefruit. A complete and precise wine.
