Hubert Brochard, Les Trois Coteaux, Sancerre Terres de Cailottes 2023 – Sancerre

The wine has a very pale lemon yellow color, with slight green reflections. The nose is silky, textured, concentrated, while remaining airy and delicate. It expresses tangy notes of fresh citrus (lime zest, yellow lemon), green apple, as well as tangy apricot, crisp and gourmand yellow apple and passion fruit. There are also subtle floral notes (acacia, apple blossoms, dried linden), toasted (toasted hazelnut in the background, a hint of toasted wood), as well as a touch of vanilla, honey and limestone. The palate is elegant, juicy and gourmand, with freshness. The attack expresses notes of fresh apricot, yellow peach, passion fruit and pineapple, combined with touches of citrus (crushed yellow lemon, orange zest), green apple, crisp yellow apple and toast in the background. There is also a mineral, chalky and smoky touch, as well as honey in the background. The finish lingers on a touch of fresh hazelnut and toasted hazelnut, as well as a gourmet hint of candied lemon and a good bitterness of grapefruit.
