Domaine Masson-Blondelet, Amazing 2023 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The initial nose is mineral (limestone, pebbles) and tangy (lemon, lime, green apple), quite restrained, but opens up after aeration and expresses notes of passion fruit, pineapple and white flowers (acacia, apple blossom), as well as a very light touch of green pear. The palate is savory, lively and tangy. The attack expresses notes of green apple, green pear, green plum, as well as a tangy citrus framework (lemon, a bitter touch of grapefruit, lemon zest), gooseberries and a distinct minerality (pebbles, limestone), as well as linden and acacia. The finish is salivating, fresh and quite persistent, with a pleasant roundness of texture and flavor of white peach and apricot and a bitter touch of lime.
