Roger & Didier Raimbault 2023 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color, with slight green highlights. The nose is fragrant and airy, very floral at the opening (apple blossom, acacia, linden). It then expresses notes of ripe citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), green apple, apricot, as well as a limestone mineral framework. The palate is chiseled, straight and fresh. The attack expresses notes of gooseberries, lemon, grapefruit and green apple, combined with notes of tangy apricot and white flowers (acacia, apple blossom, linden). The finish is quite persistent, lively, with a salivating acidity and a good bitterness. A delicate herbaceous touch of boxwood appears on the finish.
