Pym–Rae 2020 – Napa Valley

The nose is pretty, elegant, velvety and offers controlled richness, a certain deepness, concentration and fine straightness. It reveals notes of creamy cassis, fleshy gariguette strawberry and small notes of small crushed red fruits, associated with touches of brilliant blueberry, as well as hints of cornflower, fine hints of small brilliant-roasted fruits and nutmeg. The palate is beautifully fruity and offers juiciness, a tangy frame, a little creaminess, gourmandise, lovely definition and precision. In mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy black cherry, cassis and small notes of blueberry, associated with touches of violet, camphor, hints of small roasted-elegant red fruits, strawberry gariguette as well as discreet hints of cornflower, chocolate, toasted hazelnut, toast, bergamot and a subtle, balsamic hint on the finish. Gourmand, juicy and elegant wine. Lovely substance, deepness and airiness. Good length.
