AXR 1 – 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon – Napa Valley

The nose is well-built, elegant, precise and offers deepness, lovely intensity, elegance, a fin, power side and intensity in accuracy. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry, pulpy/juicy raspberry, bright raspberry, as well as fine hints of fresh blueberry, discreet hints of violet and a subtle hint of verbena. The palate is fruity, well-built, fresh, supple, ripe, elegant and gourmand, it offers a fresh, tangy frame and energy. In mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, crushed raspberry and small notes of small juicy roasted fruits, associated with touches of brilliant cassis, vanilla, toasted, as well as a hint of tonka bean, tobacco, and a subtle hint of sense of the place and clove. A well-built wine, gourmand and mellow and offers a chewiness on tannins. Good persistence.
