Staglin – Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Rutherford – Napa Valley

Staglin – Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Rutherford – Napa Valley

The nose is beautifully elegant, precise, deep and well-built. It reveals notes of quite ripe strawberry, blackberry and small notes of small wild black fruits, associated with touches of ripe wild fruits, as well as discreet hints of undergrowth and a subtle saline hint. The palate is well-built, supple, fresh, acidulous and offers salinity, gourmandise, precision, tension, delicacy and an airy side. In mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, pulpy cassis and small notes of crushed raspberry, associated with touches of crushed plum as well as fine hints of salinity. A nicely gourmand, tangy wine with tension. Good length and persistence and offers a side of undergrowth. Good definition and deepness. A hint of meatiness.
