St Supéry – Élu 2019 – Napa Valley

The nose is aromatic and spicy and offers notes of pepper and a certain concentration/deepness of fruit. It reveals notes of violet, camphor and small notes of tobacco, associated with touches of black olive, small roasted red berries, as well as discreet hints of cornflower and roasting hazelnut. The palate is well-built, supple, precise, juicy, elegant, bright and offers gourmandise, precision, purity, suppleness and deepness. In mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy cassis, brilliant red cherry and small notes of violet plum, associated with touches of violet/cornflower, as well as fine hints of tobacco, black olive and a hint of cocoa. Good length. Tannins are silky, supple and finely sappy and saline. Good persistence and energy.
