Freemark Abbey – Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 – Napa Valley

The nose is fruity and offers a fine intensity, a discreet velvetiness and a lovely delicate, stretched side. It reveals notes of ripe blackberry, violet and small notes of small black fruits, associated with a touch of violet, discreet notes of small roasted-elegant red fruits, as well as discreet notes of balsamic and dry grove. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a tangy frame, a good definition, a certain fresh unctuosity, energy and a fresh frame. In mouth this wine expresses notes of crushed cassis, concentrated black berries and small notes of violet, associated with touches of small brilliant red berries, as well as notes of smoke, tobacco, tonka bean and a subtle hint of balsamic and vanilla bean.
