Château Morrisette Chambourcin 2023 – Virginia

The wine has a bright ruby color, medium intensity, and light cherry highlights. The nose is bright, fruity, and juicy. It expresses notes of bigarreau cherry, red currant, wild raspberry, and crushed blackcurrant. After aeration, we also find notes of wild plum, dried mint, and dry black tea, combined with a hint of wild rose. The palate is airy, fruity, tangy, and accessible, even fluid in a good way. It expresses notes of crisp strawberry, wild raspberry, red plum, and crushed blackcurrant, as well as a hint of blackcurrant leaf, dried mint, and black tea. The tannins are very subtle, even imperceptible. Beautiful acidity with a hint of bitterness, the finish is rather persistent.
