Loving Cup Vineyard & Winery, Loving Cup White 2023 – Monticello

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is fragrant and open: it combines the delicacy of juicy stone fruits (white peach, apricot) and pineapple, refreshed by a tangy citrus hint (yellow lemon zest, blood orange, a very light touch of lime in the background). There is also a fragrant floral bouquet: acacia, orange blossom, a touch of lily. The palate is savory and crisp, with a round and gourmand texture and a beautiful freshness. The attack is ample, enveloping, with its flavors of yellow peach, apricot, fresh pineapple, as well as a chiseled touch of ripe yellow lemon, green apple, fresh quince and red orange. On the mid-palate, we find the floral notes of orange blossom, acacia, as well as a fine lactic note of lemon yogurt. The finish is tangy and chiseled, quite persistent, with a good grapefruit bitterness. A pleasant and refreshing wine.
