Clos Saint Sebastien – Empreintes 2024 – AOP Collioure

Clos Saint Sebastien – Empreintes 2024 – AOP Collioure

The nose is elegant, aromatic, ample, beautifully fine and offers a creamy texture. We find notes of pulpy nectarine, lychee and small notes of bright small white fruits associated with touches of pulpy mirabelle plum, fine hints of quite ripe yellow apple as well as discreet hints of sense of the place (local biotop), an almost beeswax hint, lemon blossom and a discreet hint of fresh verbena. The palate is well-built, supple, round, elegant, unctuous (but with finesse) and offers precision, a beautiful tangy frame, energy, an electric as well as a delicate side. In mouth this wine expresses notes of tangy nectarine, juicy/pulpy yellow peach and small notes of lemon associated with touches of quenette, lychee, discreet hints of verbena, peach blossom as well as fine hints of iodine/salt and a discreet pearly hint. Good length. Saline hint in the background. A nice varietal hint in the background. A very discreet hint of sense of the place on the aftertaste/persistence. A beautiful wine.
