Opalie de Château Coutet – Bordeaux Blanc

Opalie de Château Coutet – Bordeaux Blanc

The nose is elegant, precise as well as crystalline and rich at the same time. It reveals notes of peach blossoms, bright vine peach and small notes of pink lychee associated with fine hints of quenette, pink grapefruit as well as a discreet hint of gravels (terroir) and a subtle almost aniseed hint. The palate is beautifully built, supple, precise, mineral and offers a certain small roundness as well as gourmandise. On the palate this wine expresses notes of vine peach, peach blossom and small notes of lychee associated with touches of quenette, fine hints of ripe citrus fruits, small exotic fruits as well as a hint of kumquat, beeswax and a discreet buttery hint (in the background). Gourmandise, energy and salinity in the background. An “umami” side.
