Château Roquefort 2022 – Bordeaux

The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is aromatic and gourmand: it expresses notes of juicy fresh fruit (morello cherry, red cherry, red plum, crunchy strawberry, raspberry), a hint of mint and floral notes (peony) as well as toasted and chocolatey notes in the background (toasted hazelnut, toasted wood, a touch of chocolate cherry). The palate is lively, tangy, with a good bitterness on the attack and fine, slightly grippy tannins. We find flavors of red cherry, tangy raspberry, cranberries, morello cherry and tangy strawberry, combined with a hint of coffee, toasted wood, liquorice and blackcurrant leaf in the background. The finish is fresh, salivating, with a solid tannic structure. A straight and precise wine.
