This wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of juicy wild blackberry, pulpy raspberry as well as small, bright red berries associated with touches of star anise, small juicy black fruits, an almost balsamic hint and a discreet note of fresh tobacco. The palate is nicely structured, fresh, airy, supple, frank and delicate at the same time. In mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, bright and juicy black fruits associated with touches of violet, infusion, plum blossoms as well as hints of fresh tobacco, zan, a fine hint of nutmeg and a subtle note of clove. A slight almost sappy touch. The wine is nicely built, precise, well-defined and fresh. A certain elegant austerity. A floral note on the persistence.
